A Large-Scale Pool Deck Transformation

Most people do not realize that we also take on a significant number of commercial pool deck projects. This includes apartment buildings, condo complexes, and even golf courses. These environments demand durability, consistency, and a finished look that can hold up to constant use. This condo community needed a long-term solution after a recent overlay failed almost immediately. What followed was a full-scale transformation designed to look and feel like real stone.

A Community in Need of a Fix

In this case, a condo association with roughly 440 units reached out to us about a pool deck that was nearly in disrepair. What makes this project especially frustrating is that just two years earlier, an overlay had already been applied. Unfortunately, that surface turned out rough and began chipping almost immediately.

Scope and Timeline

The pool deck measured approximately 15,000 square feet, making this a large-scale renovation. From start to finish, the project took roughly three weeks to complete. Despite the size, the goal remained the same as any residential project: deliver a cohesive, durable surface that looks intentional and well designed.

Design and Finish

We used our Tuscany color theme to create a truly authentic flagstone appearance. What you see here is our Classic Flagstone design, and even we had to do a double-take, it looks and feels remarkably close to real stone. The existing white coping had been recently replaced and was still in excellent condition, so we preserved it. This allowed the finished deck to integrate seamlessly with the pool edge while enhancing the overall look.

The Final Result

The end result speaks for itself. The community absolutely loves the finished deck, and we have received an overwhelming number of compliments since the project was completed. For a space that sees daily use from hundreds of residents, this transformation made a lasting impact, both visually and functionally.
