Tuscany Concrete Pool Deck Upgrade
A cracked, stained New Jersey pool deck surrounded by professional-grade landscaping; resurfaced into a warm, Mediterranean-inspired Tuscany finish sculpted entirely from the original slab.
PROJECT AT A GLANCE
Color Theme: Tuscany
Location: New Jersey
Main Issues: Cracking & Staining
Surface: Concrete Pool Deck
What This Pool Deck Looked Like Before
The original broom finish had worn smooth in some areas and patchy in others, leaving an uneven, inconsistent texture across the entire surface. Dark organic staining and algae buildup had set into the lower and shaded sections near the tree line. Around the diving board base, rust staining from corroding embedded metal was clearly visible. The overall tone was a washed-out, faded beige with blotchy discoloration; no variation in color or texture to mask any of the damage, so every crack and stain was on full display.

The Finished Pool Deck: After RenuKrete
The deck went from the most dated part of the backyard to the thing that pulls the whole space together. RenuKrete's Tuscany finish brings a warm, Mediterranean palette to the surface; golden tan, soft orange-beige, and muted amber tones blending within each hand-sculpted stone section. The color transitions are soft and gradual rather than sharp or repetitive, giving the deck a sun-washed quality that looks natural against the wooded backdrop.

Project Overview
This New Jersey property features a freeform pool with built-in entry steps and a concrete deck that wraps the full perimeter. The yard is framed by dense, mature trees that create a lush, forest-like backdrop around the entire space.
The deck was refinished by RenuKrete using the Tuscany finish, covering the full surface with a warm, hand-sculpted flagstone pattern. Golden tan, soft beige, and muted amber tones blend together with gradual transitions, giving the deck a beautiful natural feel that fits right in with the wooded surroundings. A smooth border lines the pool edge for a clean contrast against the textured field, tying the whole space together.
What Makes Tuscany Stand Out
• Warm, Mediterranean-inspired palette with beautiful colors blended within each stone
• Texture that resembles worn natural stone rather than a stamped or repetitive pattern
• Sculpted to follow freeform pool curves, built-in steps, and narrow perimeter sections
• Soft color transitions that create an organic, natural appearance
• Sealed surface engineered to resist UV, pool chemicals, and freeze-thaw cycles

In just 3 days, with minimal disruption, our pool deck was transformed from a boring concrete slab, to an attractive deck that looked close to what a true bluestone deck would look like. While not inexpensive, well worth the investment. Renukrete was truly professional in their presentation and work performed.
